You may not want to publish your blog straight away. In WordPress, you can schedule posts to go live at a particular time and date.
Log in to your WordPress site’s back end. Click on Posts and then hover over an existing post you want to schedule and click Edit, or from Posts click Add New.
In the top-right hand of the page, look for a box called ‘Publish’. One of the options is ‘Publish immediately’. Click the blue ‘Edit’ and choose the month, day, year and time you want your post to be published. It’s a 24 hour clock so for example use 16:00 for 4pm.
Click the OK button. Publish immediately will be replaced with ‘Schedule for’, with whatever date and time you have chosen. When your post is complete, click the blue ‘Schedule’ button.
You can amend your scheduled date and time at any point, simply by clicking Edit next to ‘Scheduled for’ followed by the date originally chosen. Make your changes and finally click the large blue ‘Update’ button.
