What is remote support?

Remote support allows you to initiate a secure remote session to one of our computers that will allow us to manipulate your computer as if we were sitting in front of it. As long as you have an active high speed internet connection we can do just about everything remotely that we could do sitting in front of your computer.

Is remote support secure?

Remote support is absolutely secure:

  • The only way for us to access your computer is if you initiate the session. Once the current session is terminated we will no longer have any access to your machine.
  • You can terminate the session at any time.
  • Uses end-to-end 256 bit encryption – the same security levels used and trusted by major banking institutions.

Do you have a shop?

No.

Are you reliable?

Extremely. We keep our customers because we are friendly, reliable and cost aware.

Can you design a cost effective and professional website?

Of course! Please have a look at our sister website to find details about our competitive UK hosting packages and website design.

Can I transfer my hosting to you as I notice your charges are much cheaper than we currently pay?

Of course! We are happy to transfer your site to us for absolutely no extra charge, although your current company may possibly levy cancellation fees (most don’t, and neither would we). Please have a look at our packages for more details about costs.

I’ve lost my toolbar

Right click next to an existing toolbar and click on Standard or Formatting or choose View->Toolbars to switch on one of the two typical toolbars. If you wish to see any others listed, then select the one of your choice.

When I print a document a blank page follows

Click on the Show All button and check that you don’t have any trailing hard returns at the end of the document, they look like this . If you do remove them as you would any character. Note, the Show All button reveals all of the non printing characters, such as spaces, tabs and returns that you have used to present your document.

How can I stop my monitor turning off every few minutes

Right click on your Windows desktop and select the ‘Properties’ option. You should now click on the ‘Screen saver’ tab and select ‘Power’ at the bottom of this screen. You should now see the power options screen. Under ‘Turn off monitor’ select a longer period than is currently selected (you may wish to select the ‘never’ option which would disable the this power down feature) and then click ‘OK’ button.

How do I create a shortcut to a frequently used folder?

Right click on your Windows desktop and go to ‘new’ and then select ‘shortcut’. You will see a dialog box asking for the location of your new shortcut. If you know it then type it in, however if you are unsure click the browse button and double click the icon where you wish to go (likely to start with ‘My Computer’ then ‘C’ or other drive) until you find the folder you wish to shortcut to. Highlight this folder by clicking on it and then click the ‘next’ button. You will now be asked for a description of the shortcut. Name it what you wish and then click the ‘finish’ button. You will now have a shortcut icon on your desktop.
